Turtle Drumming

Drumming helps alleviate stress that is created from hanging on to the past or worrying about the future. When one plays a drum, it brings us back into the now and helps us to be more grounded. The vibration, like a heartbeat, moves the stagnant energy and leaves you feeling more open and free.

"Let the beat of the drum move your untamed heart."

Spirit Drum Workshops

Making a drum is a sacred act of remembering and reconnection. This journey invites you inward, offering space to release what no longer serves and to call in what your heart needs. You will be working with rawhide – Deer or Moose – each carrying their own powerful medicine and teachings. Your Spirit Drum will become a living ally, holding the wisdom of the Water, the Trees, and the animal Spirit that walks with you.

Maya LaRose

Maya can be found leading drumming circles twice a month in Eden Mills and hosting drum workshops on a monthly basis.  A drum circle provides an opportunity to connect with your own spirit at a deeper level, as well as bring a community together.

Community Drumming

When we come together, our circles open with prayers followed by a talking stick which allows individuals to speak their truths. We then move into drumming, singing and honour our time together with a small feast.  This has brought so much healing, built relationships and community.
